Welcome to CAMPING MAMBO-Almamellék

We are Johan, Daphne and our son Tommy. We have immigrated to Hungary in January 2007 to realise our dream. We always wanted to run a campsite and Daphne wanted to continue giving swimming lessons here (for more information see “the swimming school”). Since 2009 we are officially registered as campsite and we comply to European requirements.

CAMPING Mambo-Almamellék is located in the beautiful village Almamellék, which lies between the historic towns of Kaposvár and Szigitvár in Baranya County in the south-west of Hungary, near by the Croatian border.

This entirely new campsite is situated in the village. This way you can become familiar with the  Hungarian way of life. In the village there are two shops and a café.  Twice a week there is a doctor in the village and three times a week the pharmacy is open. There is a playground opposite of the campsite where your children can enjoy themselves. In the village there is also a playground with a small football field.

So, are you ready for a wonderful holiday in a beautiful surroundings? Enjoying the nice view of the beautiful hill, walking in nature or perhaps cooling off in the large swimming pool (12.5 m x 1m to 5m depth 1.70 m), having a drink on our covered patio while the kids are swimming It is all possible at Camping Mambo-Almamellék.

It is also possible to take swimming lessons for both children and adults. These swimming lessons are organised and given by a licensed Dutch swimming instructor (Daphne)

The campsite is open from 1 April until 1 October.
